Is it getting harder to escape those memories and feelings?

Maybe you're having more frequent flashbacks or perhaps your emotions are out of control. You may be feeling more disconnected in your relationships or simply longing for someone to understand what you've been through. Perhaps you're feeling that in some way you're broken because of what you've experienced.

Whatever it is that you're experiencing, you're starting to notice the impact of this in every facet of your life:

  • Difficulty staying focused or present

  • Chronic pain that gets little to not relief and is often dismissed in doctor's visits

  • Difficulty regulating your emotions.

  • Often feeling on-edge as if something bad is about to happen

  • Often feeling drained or unmotivated

  • Feeling a lack of safety in relationships or with yourself

  • Flashbacks that lead you to panic or shut down

  • Feeling that you can never relax

Embodied trauma healing can help.

It may feel impossible right now, but you can heal. You can have freedom from the pain. You can live your life on your terms, less haunted by the trauma. I can help you get there.

I use somatic (mind and body-based) EMDR therapy to guide clients into their natural built-in capacity (which we all have) to heal from negative and traumatic experiences. This means that throughout the course of therapy with me, not only will you gain the skills and awareness to work through your trauma, but you will also become more connected to your authentic self - the self you've always been, but never given the opportunity to be.

Embodied trauma healing can help you do 8 things:

  • Learn how to be more present in the moment.

  • Learn about your nervous system and trauma survival responses.

  • Build a relationship with your nervous system.

  • Use your relationship to the present moment and awareness of your survival responses to process through trauma.

  • Be able to regulate through trauma triggers/have less trauma triggers.

  • Have a new relationship to the present.

  • Have a new relationship with the experiences that have been weighing you down for so long.

  • Have a new relationship with yourself.

I'll help you through this process, tailoring each step to your unique needs and circumstances. My approach to trauma recovery comes from a place of trust in your body's natural capacity and drive to heal: believing that your traumas do not define you, but rather are parts of your life that you can grow more resilient from and have a new experience with now.

It's time to live life on your terms.

I can help you get there.
